Worth Putting On The Front Page!
This is my personal house. I built it with a goal of becoming the most energy efficient home in the Wiregrass area. Many measures were taken and techniques were employed to accomplish this goal. On January 3, 2012, a representative from Wiregrass Electric performed an energy audit on my home and I am elated to announce that I succeeded! My house yielded the best numbers ever recorded for a Wiregrass Electric energy audit. With an ANNUAL AIR CHANGE RATE OF .14 per hour, this home has seemingly no air leakage. It was estimated that the yearly cost of air leakage from heating and cooling will only amount to about $7.00 per year. As a result, our electric bills are fantastic. Subtracting the pool, our house electric bill is averaging between $50 to $100 for a 3800 square foot home.

As honored as I am to receive attention for my home, I am more excited to know that we have been offering many of these same energy efficient measures to our customers at no extra cost for years. It is just the way we have always done things. There are some things I did to my home that cost more, and they are not desired by every customer, but we are seeing more interest these days to make energy effieiency a priority. Currently, we have a home under construction that I hope and expect to surpass the standards set by my home. I hope your home is the next!
