Financing

Southern Home Builders will work with each customer to ensure that the finance process is smooth. Our company has worked with many lenders in the area. We have a good reputation with these lenders and can recommend the lender for your needs. With the new economy, your house appraisal is very important to the financing process. You can take comfort in the fact that a Southern Home Builders contract price is going to be well under the appraised value of the home you are desiring to build. Thus, you will be proud to have thousands of dollars in equity the day you move in.


Property and Plans

The next step is to find the land on which you wish to build. This will help you with your plans to ensure that your house fits properly and has pleasing aesthetics for the area. If you can't find anything, contact us and take a look at some of our properties. We would be proud to build your new home on one of our lots.

If you choose for us to draw your house plans, you are in for a treat. Our drafter is very talanted in taking your ideas and turning them into a blue print reality. Offering input along the way, she will make sure that all considerations have been made throughout the creative process. Many people have a difficult time imagining what the final product will look like, but our design team does an excellent job helping customers make the tough decisions that will more than saitsfy in the end. Please ask to view a sample of our blue prints, so you can see the detail and creativity that goes into every set.

While we construct the foundation, we will help you choose the following:

Sheetrock and Exterior

While we hang sheetrock and work on the exterior, we will help you pick out the following:

Interior Trim Details

Paint  Colors and Detail

Interior Doors, Hinges, and Handles

Floor Covering Tile Showers

Granite and Marble Counter Tops
 


Cabinets, Trim, and Paint
During this process, your house will enter its finished state. We will be assisting you with the following:

Mirrors and Selving

Bathroom Accessories

Driveway and Walkway

Landscaping and Irrigation

***This is also a good time to be setting a closing date***

 



One of the best things about building with us is the fact that we don't limit your choices. We're not going to choose your front door for you, and we're not going to give you one choice for floor tile. Appliances are not specified. Lighting packages are not predetermined. Basically, none of you choices are limited with us. If its out there, and we can find it, we can put it in your house.

However, we are always there to help you get through each decision with our advice and considerations. You can lean on us for the largest and the smallest of decisions. If needed, we will take you by the hand and walk you through it all. That's what were there for! We will make you feel comfortable. And we've gotten pretty good at recognizing the decisions that will protect the financial investment of your home, as well as those that make it aesthetically pleasing.
